NoClothesNoShoes

NoClothesNoShoes (NCNS) is back for 2012 because... I just can't be trusted. I survived 2010 not buying clothes and shoes, but 2011 saw me spiral into my usual uncontrolled spending habits. Things are desperate. I need to save money otherwise I won't be able to pay the school fees. so in 2012, not only will I not buy clothes and shoes, I won't buy teapots, mass produced Chinese urns or all the other stuff I insist on filling my small house with. I buy frivolous things all the time and I wonder why I'm still in the ranks of the working poor.

Real Life Stories

Coming from the perspective of a wife and working Mum of three; Real Life Stories is about promoting and celebrating our everyday and ordinary lives as already significant, as opposed to the the messages that our image laden culture wants to send us - that who we are and what we own are never enough. Real Life Stories peels away the airbrushing and editing to reveal that our lives can be messy, challenging, and enriching and they don't have to look like that they come out of a glossy magazine.

Gettin' Funky with an UnderAchiever

I'm highly versed in the art of underachieving, so much so that I'd have to say that it is my greatest achievement to date. Underachievers like me have taken the easy option all our lives, settled for second best, been satisfied with the unsatisfactory. But spurred on by an overwhelming feeling of dissatisfaction lately, I have made the decision to turn things around, and achieve something really exciting before I turn fifty. I might write a book! I might run the New York Marathon! I might score a guest gig on The Circle!

Wake Up Tiger

In a world dominated by rational goals and common sense, we have not only forgotten to listen to our heart, we have forgotten how to listen to our heart. In other words, our Tiger is asleep. This blog is dedicated to waking up the tiger in each of us.

Frog Ponds Rock

I am a ceramic Artist who lives on a small island underneath Australia. I balance amazing cooking with indifferent housekeeping. Vacuuming is BAD for your soul.

The Yummy Mummy Train

A first-time mother gives a frank assessment of what it's like to be pregnant and a new mum in Canberra. Includes tips on what NOT to do or say, and how to handle two sets of everything as she tries to appease Eastern and Western philosophies on kid wrangling. While looking hawt. And happy. :o)
