Brotherhood Books

Brotherhood Books Brotherhood Books is a new Social Enterprise from the Brotherhood of St Laurence designed to encourage the recycling of high quality books and to contribute funds to its charitable operations. Over the last 10 years the Brotherhood of St Laurence has accumulated over 45 tonnes of books and the collection continues to grow. Brotherhood Books offers more than just books; it is a unique initiative that gives you the opportunity to support the Brotherhood of St Laurence and to help the environment through: * buying from a selection of thousands of high quality recycled books * purchasing for direct donation to those in need - families, schools and communities * reducing our carbon footprint * cutting down on the number of books sent to landfill * creating employment training opportunities. 100% of the profits from Brotherhood Books will go towards the Brotherhood of St Laurence’s work in helping disadvantaged people build better lives. About the Brotherhood of St Laurence Since the 1930s the Brotherhood of St Laurence has been working for an Australia free of poverty through its research, services and advocacy. The Brotherhood campaigns for change to break the cycle of poverty and develops forward-looking programs for disadvantaged people, which are often then adopted by other community organisations and governments.
