We are 2 road tripping grey nomads, who built our own caravan and are travelling around various parts of Australia. Though this blog started out and continues to be a more personal blog, it is slowly expanding along with our experinces to include resources to help others plan to get the most out of travelling in a caravan, motorhome or other RV. It includes recipes, humour and planning/organization. We are even thinking of converting a bus into a motorhome - we still love our caravan, but a motorhome offers different advantages we wish to explore. Come see what we do.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champers in the other, body dirty, sunburnt, wrinkled and thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "Yah Hoo, Whatta Ride!"

I am a lawyer and a stay at home mum bringing up three adorable children under five in these precious early years on Planet Baby. Words are primitive - they cannot begin to describe the person I call me, but I'll try....Politics. Economics. Environment. Social Justice. Activism. Fashion. Human Rights. Any of these themes come up and I will throw my hat in to the discussion.I am an adrenalin-junkie with a fascination for extreme sports but I also enjoy the simple pleasures that life has to offer.I see the glass-half-full and have time for a lot of people but I also have a low tolerance for ignorance and apathy.I am the luckiest woman to have found not only the love of my life but the man I am destined to grow old with. I have the most amazing, supportive, fun-loving and caring group of close friends and family who absolutely keep me grounded and remind me of where I've come from and just how much I've been blessed with.

My name is Lauren. Im Australian by birth but grew up as an MK in West Africa (with a lot of North American influences). I currently live near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia with my growing family. We have four beautiful daughters in alphabetical order! Were concerned about peak oil and the pending global energy crisis. So after we sell our house, we are heading to a rural property in New Zealand to make the next step to a self-sufficient, sustainable lifestyle. We would like our children to develop a lifelong love of learning and will keep them at home (unschooling them) instead of sending them to an institution. (This can be construed as an extreme over-reaction to my twelve years of boarding school)David and I believe that we are the church, and so we are transitioning to an unchurching lifestyle. This means that we meet together with other believers outside of the traditional Sunday morning gathering, and share the love of God with whomever he brings us into contact. Its certainly an adventure!I blog to remember these years of my childrens lives, to add my voice to the internet murmur and to give myself something to do apart from the washing and wiping down the kitchen counters.I keep an open house. Anyone is welcome to drop by anytime! This means youll take us as you find us neat, messy, well-behaved or not. But were real, and this blog is too. Subscribe or browse through the archives, and youll see what I mean.
